Professional Goals and Five Year Plan

This blog addresses what my current goals are and where I see myself in the next five years.

5-year plan

Setting goals really helps create a roadmap of where we are and where we want to go. Further, creating goals and reaching them can help with attention as well as improve self-efficacy (Garner et al., 2025). Since I am still learning, my goal for the instructional design is to further master the basics. Improving my skills in programs such as Articulate, LMS, and photoshop are some examples of what I hope to do in the next few years. Another goal I have for the next few years is to be able to learn about artificial intelligence and virtual reality. As technology continues to improve, I can foresee a shift to teaching with V.R. and A.I. in conjunction with face-to-face teaching and online modules. I will so consider continuing my education with certifications and mentoring others as well. Helping mentor others can help with professional development as well networking in the workplace.
